![]() ![]() ![]() Also in the 1980's they made a very similar reproduction piece but only with a MOP plastic thighs and red painted metal stockings (actually pictured above with the brass mini legs). These legs were reproduced twice since they stopped making them in the 20's! They were reproduced in the late 1970's and have plastic thigh scales and metal groves with paint for striped stockings. ![]() I'm always looking to pick up these legs! Drop me a line and we can make a deal! Some simply say "Germany" or "Registered", while some have retailers or exporters names on them. You will find many different markings on these. These corkscrews were produced in Germany. But some scales were produced in steel, brass, and even in nickel-silver! Anyone got an extra? Speaking of variations in scales, these pieces are mostly found in celluloid. They only come in 2 sizes, but at last count in 2000 there were over 75 known variations of scales! They were know to have been in production for over 40 years! So there's plenty for everyone. The celluloid stockings are striped in bright dark green and ivory. They are a little risque and very desirable amongst all collectors. Very nice example of this highly collected corkscrew. The Ladies Legs corkscrew is a classic piece for collectors. Probably of all collectible corkscrews, the folding ladies legs corkscrew are the best known. ![]()
